We at Col. Potter Cairn Rescue Network would like to express our sincerest thanks to Rainbow's family, the Tingler's, for adopting Rainbow and giving her the wonderful forever home and all the love she should have always had. We would also like to remind everyone that heartworms are a real threat to dogs left outside without any heartworm prevention. Rainbow had heartworms when she was rescued and had to wait to get healthy enough to go through the heartworm treatment which is serious and sometimes fatal. Please be sure to have your dog checked for heartworms and please talk to your vet about heartworm prevention.
