Jul 8, 2010: It is with a very heavy heart that I must tell you our newest little girl BeBe has gone to the Rainbow Bridge.

This little girl was so undernourished and weak when she came in to CP. She weighed just 8#. After a week of quality food and love at the vet, she had gained a full pound and was now up to 9#.

She was getting ready to travel to her foster home tomorrow to start her new life in freedom. A wonderful new volunteer had BeBe comfortably resting at her home. She was no more than a couple of feet away from BeBe, who was resting comfortably in her crate. When she went to take her out of her crate for a potty break, BeBe had passed. It was very quick and very peaceful.

Maybe the special man BeBe is named in memory of needed a companion and called her to him ... at least that's what I would like to think ...

Sometimes life just isn't fair and this is certainly one of those cases. BeBe had survived untold horrors and abuse while at the mill to be in the condition she was in. Now was supposed to be her time to know love, be pampered and become a Cairn Princess. She'll now have to experience those things at the Rainbow Bridge.

Please light your candles to show her the way. Run free and healthy precious little BeBe -- you are so loved ...

When God calls little puppies to dwell with Him above,
We humans always question the wisdom of His love.
For no heartache can compare with the loss of one small 'child',
Who does so much to make this world seem wonderful and mild.

Perhaps God tires - always calling the aged to His fold,
And so He picks a rosebud before it can grow old.
God knows how much we need them and so He picks but few;
To make the land of heaven more beautiful to view.
Believing this is difficult, yet somehow we must try,
For the saddest word that mankind knows will always be "good-bye".

And so when little pups depart;
We, who are left behind, must realize how much God loves puppies....
For angels are hard to find.
